It is a 100-acre grove surrounded by high walls between the coastal road in KuruçeÅŸme and the TRT land in Ulus.
This land, also known as the grove of Sheikh al-Islam Cemaleddin Efendi (1848-1917), was later transferred to Emin Erkayın. After his death, it is in a miserable state today because an agreement could not be reached between his heirs.
One of the two mansions in the upper part of the grove is burned and the other is in ruins. There is a large entrance gate on the KuruçeÅŸme side of the grove and the ruins of a fountain next to it. There are also several large water cisterns adjacent to the walls on the KuruçeÅŸme side. These cisterns, plastered with Khorasan mortar, were built to supply water to the palaces and mansions on the coast at that time. In the grove, which is in a wild state, there are rare trees such as blue atlas and Himalayan cedars, magnolias and flame trees, as well as oaks, pine, fir, hackberry and linden trees.
